Umbane Energy Investments (Pty) Ltd was founded by Yonela Poswa and Mlingani Matiwane to meet the United Nation Goals by solving at the intersection of the Food-Water-Energy Nexus for Africa.

As young, black and African entrepreneurs, we find that the Vuk’uzenzele (do it yourself) mentality is at the centre of our execution oriented praxis given the magnitude of our problems in the continent. This with the understanding that what were once future problems are now current realities. Join us on this journey as we add Umbane (which means “energy” in IsiXhosa) to our collective struggles with laser focus and a solutioning attitude.
